Follow the facilities procedure for each individual.
Invacare recommends the use of the safety strap and shoulder harness when using
the bath lift. ALWAYS adjust the safety strap and shoulder harness for safety and
comfort before transferring the resident onto the chair.
The safety strap should be used when lifting or transferring. Otherwise, the resident
may fall from the seat.
6. RaisetheliftseatbypressingtheUparrowonthehandpendanttoensurethe
resident’sfeetareoffthefloor.
7. Unlockthewheelsandtransfertheresidenttothebathingarea.
8. Openthedoorofthebathingunit.
9. Adjusttheheightoftheliftseatsoitisslightlyhigherthantheactualseatofthetub.
10. Slowlybegintobringtheresidentandseatintotheopentub(Detail“A”).
NOTE:Approachatanangleroughly45degreestothetub.
11. Placetheresident’sfeetinthefootwellofthetub.
12. Continueguidingtheresidentandtheliftchairintothetub(Detail“B”).
13. Graduallyrotate theliftuntilthesupportcolumnandpush handlesarebehindand
outsidetherearrimofthetubandtheresidentandlift chairareinsidethetub (Detail“C”).

14. Oncetheresidentandchairarecompletelyandsafelyinsidethetub,usethe
hand
pendanttolowertheliftchairuntilitisjustabovetheseatofthetubbutnottouching.

Make sure arms and legs are out of the way of the door to avoid pinching either the
resident’s or attendant’s limbs in the door.

Make sure the locking handle of the tub
is in the fully raised position when the
door is being closed.
