When to replace
Disconnect cleaner from electri-
cal outlet.
When agitator brushes are worn,
the agitator should be replaced.
To check condition of brushes,
move edge of card across bottom
plate while turning agitator. To
maintain cleaning effectiveness,
replace agitator if brushes do not
touch card.
What to buy
The agitator may be replaced with
either a single or double row of
brushes.

How to replace
Disconnect cleaner from electri-
cal outlet.
1. Remove bottom plate and hood
as described in ‘How to replace
belt’. Remove agitator from
cleaner.
2. Discard old agitator.
3. Replace agitator and belt as
shown in steps 6-9 of “How to
replace belt”.
