Troubleshooting
Whenthepushbuttondesignatedforthe“Ding-Dong”
toneispressed,onlya“Dong”notewillplaywhenbatterypowerislowin
chime unit.
B. Chime does not sound:
• Makesurepushbuttonandchimecodesarethesame(seeFigure9).
• Checkorientationofpushbuttonandchimebatteries.(Seediagraminside
push button and chime for correct battery orientation.)
• Checkchargeofpushbuttonandchimebatteries,replaceifnecessary.
Chimeisreceiving
interferencefromanotherwirelessdevice;changethecodesetting(see
Code Settingbelow).
• Donotmountchimeorpushbuttononmetalornearmetalstuds.This
reducesthetransmitterrange.Use1/4"to1/2"(6to13mm)woodshims
to move chime or push button off metal surface.
• Concreteoorsmayreducerange.Movechimeawayfromoor.
• Trylocatingchimeclosertopushbutton.
E. Code Setting:
It is recommended to only change one code position at a time and then check
to see if system is functioning properly.
1.Openthecasesandlocatethejumpersonthepushbuttonandtheswitches
onthechime(seeFigure9).
2.Thepushbuttonhaseightdifferentjumperlocationsandthechimehasseven
switches.Jumperpositions1through7onthepushbuttonandtheswitches
on the chime are used for setting the code.
3.Tochangethecode,either:
• Addajumpertothepushbuttonandsetthematchingchimeswitchto
“ON”or...
• Removeajumperonthepushbuttonandsetthematchingchimeswitch
to“OFF”or...
• Moveajumperonthechimefromonelocationtoanother.Setthematching
twodipswitchesonthepushbuttontomatchthejumpersettingsonthe
chime.
Example:Inthechime,movethechimejumperatlocation“5”tolocation
“4”.Inthepushbutton,setthe“5”dipswitchtoOFFandthe“4”dipswitch
to ON.
