Logic Fires (See pages 68-77 and 80-97)
Logic Hotbox
The 16” Logic Hotbox is suitable for all chimney types and has been
designed to meet the requirements of today’s modern homes where
central heating is the norm and only a precast flue has been supplied
by the builder. It provides a superb focal point and ambience but without
the additional heat emitted by a convector. You may choose coal or
pebble fuel beds and there is the option of a Standard remote control.
Logic Convectors
The Logic 16” Convector is a highly efficient, all-new engine that is
suitable for all chimney types. It differs from the Hotbox, however, by
incorporating a convection system that provides virtually twice the
heating efficiency, so there is even more heat going into your room. The
Logic Convector is available with coal or pebble fuel beds, both offering
an excellent look and realistic flames, and the option of a Standard
remote control.
Logic IPF Convector
There is also an IPF (Integral Powered Flue)
version of the Logic Convector for homes
without a chimney. All you need is to be able
to position the fire on an outside wall so that
the flue can go straight through (as pictured
right). It is available with coal fuel bed and
supplied complete with Sequential remote
control.
The Logic IPF has also been specially
developed for cavity wall properties and has been cleverly designed to
use the gap in the wall to save space. You can either recess the fire
into the inner skin of the wall or recess the fan unit into the outer skin.
Alternatively, with non-cavity walls you can construct a false chimney
breast in your room.
Just as importantly, the Logic IPF incorporates the very latest integrated
electronics that allow all functions to be operated from its own, unique
remote control. There is no need to turn a fan on before igniting the fire
and no need for a permanent pilot light.
E-Box™ Fires (See pages 36-39, 42-43, 68-77 and 80-95)
This top-of-the-range, 16” wide engine provides exceptional heating
efficiency and much improved fuel economy. Set behind a virtually invisible
glass window, Gazco’s technology has created a design that offers
considerably lower running costs (gas consumption is lower so saving you
money). Furthermore, installation is not only simpler than larger glass-
fronted fires but also no hearth is required where the E-Box™ is fitted
50mm (2”) above floor level – ideal for hole-in-the-wall settings.
Conventional Flue
The E-Box™ can be installed into all chimney types and has high
efficiency levels of up to 76%. The conventional flue E-Box™ is
available with coal or pebble fuel beds and the option of Standard or
Programmable remote controls.
Balanced Flue version
If you do not have a chimney there is the option of a balanced flue
E-Box™. Not only can this be easily fitted to homes with no chimney,
but the balanced flue version additionally allows for greater combustion
control and even higher efficiency levels of up to 86%. This version is
also available with coal or pebble fuel beds and the option of Standard
or Programmable remote controls.
E-Studio™ Fires
(See pages 36-41, 68-73, 76-77, 80-83 and 94-95)
This premium 16” wide engine provides high heating efficiency with a
contemporary fresh look. Set behind a virtually invisible glass window,
the E-Studio™ boasts a stunning ribbon flame effect combined with
Gazco’s latest technology, to create a stylish design and lower running
costs (gas consumption is lower so saving you money).
Conventional Flue
The E-Studio™ can be installed into all chimney types and has high
efficiency levels of up to 72%. The conventional flue E-Studio™ is
available with the option of Standard or Programmable remote controls.
Balanced Flue version
If you do not have a chimney there is the option of a balanced flue
E-Studio™. Not only can this be easily fitted to homes with no chimney,
but the balanced flue version additionally allows for greater combustion
control and even higher efficiency levels of up to 82%. This version is also
available with the option of Standard or Programmable remote controls.

VFC Fires (See pages 68-69, 72-77, 80-93 and 96-97)
VFC Convector
Available in 16”, 18” and 22” widths and standard or low lintel heights,
the VFC Convector is suitable for brick chimneys only but offers the
additional benefits of a slightly deeper fuel bed and unique VFC (variable
flame control) system. The latter feature allows you to select the exact
balance of flame, glow and heat to suit your mood. Set to ‘Blue’ and
the fuel bed glows brightly with a lower, translucent flame with a hint of
blue. Set to ‘Yellow’ and you will enjoy the yellow, flickering flames and
authentic atmosphere of a genuine fire. VFC Convectors are available with
coal fuel beds and the option of a Standard remote control.
VFC Powered Flue
Convector
A Powered Flue Kit can be added
to the VFC Convector to allow
it to be installed in homes with
no chimney. This kit gives you
the flexibility of locating the fan
unit on an outside wall up to six
metres away from the fire, and to
incorporate bends in the flue (as
illustrated right).
Radiant Fires
These fires are for those who do not require the additional heat of a
convector or do not wish to refurbish an existing open fireplace, whether
conventional ‘chairbrick’ opening or traditional cast iron fireplace.
VFC Tapered Fires (See pages 100-101)
Providing the same unique variable flame control feature as the
VFC Convector, VFC Tapered Fires are designed for installation into
conventional 'chairbrick' fireplaces. They are available in 16”, 18” and
22” widths and, according to width, with a choice of Arts, Holyrood or
Spanish fronts in a variety of brass, chrome and cast iron finishes, as
shown on pages 102-103.
Radiant Fires for Classic Fireplaces (See pages 98-99)
These are non-VFC fires with shapes specially adapted to suit the cast
iron Classic Fireplaces manufactured by our sister company Stovax Ltd.
Alternatively, should you have an original period fireplace of this type, or
a reproduction, then we can generally produce a custom-built fire to meet
your needs. Your retailer will be pleased to give you further information.
Command remote controls:
Gazco was the first UK company to introduce remote controls for
gas fires. Today, our Command remote control systems allow most
fires to be upgraded, either at the time of purchase or at a later
date, with either:
a) Standard upgradable remote control
Once the pilot light has been ignited manually you
can vary the flame height and heat output from
the comfort of your armchair.
b) Programmable remote control
This deluxe version has two additional features.
The first allows you to thermostatically control the
room temperature whilst the second allows you
to programme your fire to switch itself on and
off twice a day. Use both and you can even come
home to a glowing fire that has heated the room
to the temperature you select!
Some fires in the Gazco range come with the remote included
with the product, these are:
c) Open Studio sequential remote control
With this infra red remote control, you do not need
to light the pilot manually as the whole operating
sequence (on/off and flame height heat output) is
activated from the handset itself.
d) Glass Fronted Studio and Linea
sequential remote
This programmable, radio frequency remote control
offers all of the features of the Open Studio
sequential remote but with the additional benefits
of programmable thermostatic and timer functions.
e) Logic IPF remote control
This sequential remote differs in design to those
illustrated above, although offering similar features.
Please ask your Gazco dealer for further details.
f) Electric Riva
This remote operates the electric Riva, allowing
you at the touch of a button to choose between
four different flame effects, with or without heat.
