Care and Maintenance
To keep your Camera and Monitor Security System operating properly you must:
Keep your monitor and camera dry. Moisture can damage the units. If the monitor or
camera does get wet, immediately unplug the AC adapter from the wall outlet. Press
the power switch on the monitor to OFF. Make sure the monitor or camera is thor-
oughly dry before you reconnect the AC adapter back into the wall outlet and
restore the power.
Locate or store the monitor and camera in a normal temperature environment.
Extreme temperatures can shorten the life of electronic devices.
Handle the monitor and camera carefully when moving or storing them. Dropping or
shaking can seriously damage the units.
Occasionally wipe the camera and monitor with a damp cloth to remove dust
and dirt.
Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to clean
the monitor and camera. Use of these products can damage the units.
Do not locate the monitor and camera in dirty, dusty, or greasy areas. Dirt and dust
can get inside the units and cause premature wear.
We are confident you will enjoy your new First Alert® Home Security System. If you have
