Basic Safety Information
Before installing this unit, read all the Cautions and Warnings listed below.
ELECTRICAL SHOCK OR FIRE HAZARDS!
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD. DO NOT TRY TO SERVICE THE UNIT YOUR-
SELF. SERVICE SHOULD BE HANDLED BY QUALIFIED TECHNICIANS.
Servicing the monitor or camera yourself will void your warranty.
Do not use with extension cords or other types of AC adapters. The unit may not
work properly. Use only the AC adapter provided, and always plug the AC adapter
directly into a standard 120 VAC outlet.
Do not place cords from the AC adapter or the sensors where they can be
pinched or stepped on. Protect the cords by keeping them out of the way of chil-
dren, pets, and routine household traffic.
Do not place heavy objects on cords, or cover cords with rugs or carpet.
NEVER immerse any component in water, and do not spray cleaners or
solvents on the unit. Unplug both components before cleaning. When cleaning,
use a damp, lint-free cloth only.
Do not expose the monitor or camera to excessive heat, cold, or moisture.
Connect this unit ONLY to other compatible units. Do not connect it to any
other type of alarm or auxiliary device. Connecting anything else to this unit
may damage it or prevent it from operating properly.
Do not expose the monitor or camera to excessive heat, cold, or moisture.
Do not expose the monitor or camera to rain or direct sunlight.
Make sure all cables are connected properly. Improper cable connections may
damage the camera and monitor.
Handle the monitor and camera with care. Do not locate units in locations sub-
ject to shaking or vibration.
Do not locate the monitor near radiators, ovens or other heat generating appli-
ances and equipment.
Leave at least a 2” space between the monitor and walls, cabinets and/or
other objects to allow air circulation around the unit.
TURN OFF power to the television or monitor and unplug the AC adapter from
the wall outlet when connecting the camera.
This product is equipped with a polarized AC line plug (one blade wider than
the other). As a safety feature, this plug will only fit into the wall outlet one
way. If you cannot insert the plug fully into an outlet, turn the plug the other
way and try again. If this does not work, DO NOT try to force the plug into the
outlet or attempt to defeat the safety feature on the polarized plug.
Do not paint over the camera.
