INSTALLATION
InstallationOverview
Whenchoosingalocationforyournewstove,thereareamultitudeof
factorsthatshouldbetakenintoaccountbeforebeginningtheinstallation.
1. TrafficPatterns–Tohelppreventaccidents,thestoveshouldbeplaced
inalocationwhereitisoutofthewayofnormaltravel
throughthe
home.
2. HeatFlow–Whendecidingonalocationforthestove,considertheway
heatmovesthroughoutyourhome.Installthestovewhereyouneed
theheat;basementinstallationsoftendonotallowsuffic ient heatto
flowtotheupperfloorsandatopfloorinstallation
willnotallowany
heattoreachthefloorsbelow.Alwaysconsiderthatheatrisesandwill
takethepathofleastresistancewhileitisstillhot.
3. ExhaustLocation–Outsidewallsaregenerallythebestplacetoinstalla
stove,sincetheyalloweasyexhaustandintakeair
installation(usingour
DuraVentAC‐3000Kit).Ifthereisnotafeasiblewaytoinstallthestove
onanoutsidewall,therearemethodsforventingthestoveupthrough
theroof,buttheytendtobemorecostlybecausetheyinvolvetheuse
ofmorepelletventpipe
andcanoftenmakeoutsideairinstallation
moredifficult.
4. WallConstruction–Locatingthestovesothattheexhaustsystemcan
passbetweenstudswillsimplifytheinstallationandeliminatetheneed
toreframeanysectionsofthewalltoaccommodatethewallthimble.

Donotstoreorusegasolineorotherflammablevaporsandliquidsinthevicinityof
thisoranyotherappliance.
DoNotOverfire–Ifanyexternalpartstartstoglow,youareoverfiring.Reducefeed
rate.Overfiringwillvoidyourwarranty.
Complywithallminimum
clearancestocombustiblesasspecified.Failuretocomply
mayresultinahousefire.
Testedandapprovedforwoodpelletsonly.Burninganyotherfuelwillvoidyour
warranty.
