c) Push notches inwards for the period you want the heater to operate. For example, in the shown illustration, the
heater will operate from 20.00 (8 p.m.) to 23.00 (11.00 p.m.). Once you have set the notches for the desired heating
periods, your heater will cycle on and off according to these settings.
d) Switch one or both switches.
e) As long as you keep the heater plugged in, the timer will continue to keep proper time.
IMPORTANT: never for any reason cover the appliance during operation as this could lead to dangerous over-
heating.
ATTENTION: in order to avoid any danger caused by an accidental resetting of the safety system, this appliance must not
be powered through an external timer. The appliance is fitted with a safety device which will switch off it in case of acci-
dental overheating. To reset, contact an authorized service center.
6. MAINTENANCE
Always remove the plug from the power outlet and allow the radiator to cool. Wipe radiator with
a soft damp cloth. Do not use detergents and abrasives.
Should the radiator not be in for a long period of time, wrap the cable round the holder and store it in a dry place. This
appliance has been built to give many years of trouble free service.
In case of malfunction or doubt, do not try to repair the heater yourself: it may cause the risk of fire, hazard or electric
shock. Call nearest Service Center (visit www.delonghi.com for a list of service centers near you (U.S. Only).
Your product is equipped with a polarized alternating current line plug (a plug having one blade wider than the other).
This plug will fit into the power outlet only one way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into
the outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug should still does not fit, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete
outlet. Do not force a polarized plug into an outlet not fit to accept it.
