Troubleshooting
Symptom Possible Cause Corrective Action
Indications of poor fuel quality are pilot not staying lit, burners producing abnormal flames and/or soot; unit back-firing when lit.
1. Pilot will not light a) Air in the line Bleed the line of air.
b) Low gas pressure Have gas company check and adjust.
c) Wrong gas type Have gas company confirm.
2. Insufficient pilot flame a) Pilot orifice is dirty Clean the dust/lint from the unit.
b) Drafty around the unit Eliminate drafts.
3. Burners won’t light a) Loose or dirty electrical connections Clean and check the connections
b) Insufficient generator voltage Replace the pilot assembly.
4. The remote doesn’t work a) No batteries in the remote or receiver Install batteries.
b) Dead batteries in remote or receiver Replace the batteries.
c) Receiver switch in incorrect position Select the correct position.
d) Remote out of range for receiver Use the correct range.
