Features and Controls
Read this Operator’s Manual and safety rules before operating your water pump.
Compare the illustrations with your water pump, to familiarize yourself with the locations of various controls and
adjustments. Save this manual for future reference.
A - Priming Plug — Fill pump with water here to prime
pump before starting.
B - Discharge Outlets — Connect discharge hose here.
C - Pump Chamber — Be sure to fill with water before
starting.
D - Suction Inlet — Connect reinforced suction hose here.
E - Water Drain Plug — Remove to drain water from pump
and flush internal components with clean water.
F - Choke Lever — Used when starting a cold engine.
G - Air Cleaner — Protects engine by filtering dust and
debris out of intake air.
H - Recoil Starter — Used for starting the engine manually.
J - Engine Speed Lever — Used to adjust engine speed to
control pump output.
K - Oil Drain Plug — Drain engine oil here.
L - Oil Fill Cap — Check and add engine oil here.
M - On/Off Switch — Set this switch to "On" before using
starter handle. Set switch to "Off" to switch off engine.
N - Data Tag — Provides model, revision and serial number
of water pump. Please have these readily available when
calling for assistance.
P - Fuel Shutoff Valve — Used to turn fuel supply on and
off to engine.
R - Fuel Tank — Capacity of one (1) U.S. gallons.
Items Not Shown:
Engine Information — Stamped on valve cover. Provides
model, type and trim number of engine. Please have these
readily available when calling for assistance.
Strainer Basket — Used to limit passage of abrasive
materials into the pump.
