Specifying the Disc Status Created when the Disc was Finalized
It is possible to specify the action when a finalized disc is inserted into this machine or a DVD player, or the operation when
playback of a title is finished. Also, it is possible to select whether to create a title menu (TOP MENU) or chapter menu (MENU)
when finalizing or closing a title. It is necessary to carry out the setting before recording to a blank disc. The setting is carried out
with the DISC IN ACTION Item, TITLE END Item, DVD MENU TYPE Item, or INTRODUCTION TITLE Item of the RECORDER
MENU (2/2).

RECORDER MENU (2/2) screen
Operation
ⅥThe disc should be not inserted, or a blank disc should be inserted.
1.
Display the RECORDER MENU (1/2) screen
q Press the SET UP button and the set up top menu screen will be displayed.
w Press either the 6 or 7 button to select the RECORDER item, then
press the SET button.

Display the RECORDER MENU (2/2) screen
With the 6 or 7 buttons, select RECORDER MENU (1/2) screen → Item,
then press the SET button.

Set the RECORDER MENU (2/2) screen
q With the 6 or 7 buttons, select Item, press the SET button and the
setting value list box will be displayed.
w With the 6 or 7 buttons, select the setting value, press the SET button
to confirm the setting value.
4.
Finish the Setting
Carry out either of the following operations.
• Select the MENU item, press the SET button to return to the set up top
menu screen.
• Press the SET UP button to return to the normal screen.
Ⅵ DISC IN ACTION Item
This is to set the operation when a finalized disc is inserted into this machine or a DVD player.
MENU : Displays the Title menu (TOP MENU) screen.
TITLE : Automatically playback title 1.
Ⅵ TITLE END Item
This is to set the operation when playback of a title is finished.
MENU : Enter stop mode, and display the Title menu (TOP MENU) screen.
REPEAT : Repeat playback within the title.
STOP : Enter stop mode. Do not display the Title menu (TOP MENU).
NEXT TITLE : Playback the next title. When playback of the final title is complete the first title is played.

Ⅵ DVD MENU TYPE Item
This is for selecting whether to create a title menu (TOP MENU) or a chapter menu (MENU) when finalizing or closing a title.
TOP+MENU : Creates a chapter menu (MENU) when a title is closed.
Creates a title menu (TOP MENU) when finalizing.
TOP : Creates a title menu (TOP MENU) when finalizing.
Does not create a chapter menu (MENU) when a title is closed.
NONE : Neither a chapter menu (MENU) nor a title menu (TOP MENU) are created when a title is closed or when
finalizing. A disc with no menu is created.
Ⅵ INTRODUCTION TITLE Item
This is for selecting whether to create an introduction title (opening movie) when finalizing. Title 1 is used as the introduction
title. When this item is set to ON, a chapter cannot be created when title 1 is being recorded.
ON : Create an introduction title. When the disc is inserted into this machine or a DVD player the introduction title is automatically
played.
OFF : Do not create an introduction title. When the disc is inserted into this machine or a DVD player the action set in DVD IN
ACTION is carried out.
