Hardware installation
4.2 Setting up the floorstand model
I If you are not installing a PRIMERGY TX200 S6 floorstand model, skip
this section and continue reading at section "Installing/removing the rack
model" on page 49.
V CAUTION!
Follow the safety instructions in chapter "Important information" on
page 31.
Ê Transport the server to the place where you want to set it up.
Ê Unpack the server (see section "Unpacking the server" on page 46).
Ê Set up the server.
Note that for safety reasons (danger of tipping) the anti-tilt bracket must be
mounted on the back of the server (see section "Mounting the anti-tilt
bracket" on page 48).
V CAUTION!
– The device must be protected from direct sunlight.
– The essential minimum clearance for servicing must be
maintained (see "Maintenance area for the floorstand model" on
page 27).
– Access to the rear of the server must be assured so that other
devices (e.g. memory subsystems) can be connected.
– A clearance of at least 200 mm must be maintained in front of and
behind the system to ensure proper ventilation.
– The mains plug must be accessible easily and safely.
Ê Wire the server. Read the information in section "Connecting devices to the
server" on page 59 and section "Notes on connecting/disconnecting cables"
on page 63.
Ê Connect the system to the mains (see section "Connecting the server to the
mains" on page 60).
