Getting a high-speed Internet account

system label on the back of your modem for this information.
If you already have a high-speed Internet account
If you already have a high-speed Internet account, you will need to give your

the system label on the back of your modem for this information.

Positioning your modem
The ideal location for your modem is where it has access to outlets and other
devices. Think about the layout of your home or office, and consult with your
service provider to select the best location for your modem. Read this user
guide thoroughly before you decide where to place your modem.
Recommendations:
• Choose a location close to your computer if you will also use the modem
for high-speed Internet service.
• Choose a location that is near an existing RF coaxial connection to
eliminate the need for an additional RF coaxial outlet.
