Question About White Rodgers Thermostat 1F86-444

The indoor temperature on the thermostat is not registering. The temp is falling. It is in the 70's, but the temp is falling, like as low as the teens. Need to turn the air on today, but can't with the thermometer saying so low. Replaced batteries... Doesn't help.
