Question About White Rodgers Thermostat 1F86-344
Digital display failure...

The digital temperature numbers stopped displaying. I replaced the batteries with 2 Rayovac Heavy Duty batteries and now the air comes back on but still no numbers are displayed. Do I need a certain type of battery or is my display fried?

0 it's a 244 model, not 344 but that wasn't one of the choice.
