1f86-344, cool down arrow problem?...

1f86-344, cool down arrow problem? The down arrow does not work. I try to bring down the temperature from 84 to 76 and it's stuck on 84.

0 i set it to 77 ac and when it hits 77 it dont shut off the ac what do i need to do please
