Technical Repair Guide
10 BASIC SERVICE GUIDE
The Basic Service Guide should cover most performance issues.
If after checking the items listed, the air cleaner still fails to
operate properly please contact your distributor.
Condition Possible cause Solution
Air cleaner inoperable. Malfunctioning safety switch. Properly close the extraction grid or contact your
service person.
Disconnected from power. Reconnect power.
Faulty cord or plug. Distributor to replace the cord or plug.
Faulty hardware and/or software. Contact your distributor for replacement parts.
Poorly operating or malfunctioning
remote control.
(Nearly) exhausted battery. Check the red led above the
• button on the
remote control by pressing any button. Replace the
battery if the led is not activated.
Fan fails to rotate. Defective fan. Contact your distributor for replacement parts.
Faulty hardware and/or software. Contact your distributor for replacement parts.
Fan works but the air cleaner
functions poorly or not at all.
One or more filters are polluted. Replace or clean the filters.
Vents are closed. Open one or more of the vents (see section 5).
Dirt in the electronic filter causes a short-circuit
(
STANDBY led blinks)
Clean the electronic filter.
Crackling sound from the electronic
filter.
Electronic filter dirty or wet. Clean or dry the electronic filter.
Missing prefilter. Install prefilter.
The air cleaner cannot be
controlled manually.
Control is locked out. See Program Setting # 4 (page 7) to unlock.
STANDBY led blinks. Dirt in the electronic filter causes a short-circuit. Clean the electronic filter.
Short-circuit in the electronic filter by a broken
ionizing wire and/or bent collector plates.
Contact your distributor.
Air cleaner is in PROGRAM mode. Push the PROGRAM button on the remote control
once or several times to scroll through the menu or
wait for 1 minute.
•••• and • leds blink. The Service Indicator indicates that the filters are
clogged.
Clean the electronic filter or replace the media
filter.
The fan speed does not increase
when using the Air Quality
Analyzer.
Fan speed limited. See Program Setting # 6 (page 8) to change
maximum fan speed.
The Air Quality Analyzer starts
while the atmosphere is apparently
clean.
Sensor reacts to, for instance, high or low humidity
or fumes from cleaning agents.
The sensitivity will adjust itself after some time.
Air Quality Analyzer is too sensitive. Contact your distributor.
Smells are no longer adsorbed. Activated carbon filter or Odor Free filter is
saturated.
Replace the activated carbon filter or Odor Free
filter.
