NOTE: Underwriters Laboratories (UL) does not require all fixtures to have ground wires. These
fixtures meet all UL specifications.
1. Turn off power at circuit box to avoid possible electric shock.
2. Thread mounting screws (A) approximately
1
/4 inch into outlet box (B) (see fig. 1).
3. Line up holes in canopy (C) with holes in fiberglass insulation (inside canopy).
4. Run wires from socket (F) through center hole (D) in canopy (C).
5. Push socket clip (E) through center hole (D) in canopy (C) until socket clip (E) locks into
place.
6. To connect wires, take black fixture wire (group A from fig. 2 on page 11) and place
evenly against black outlet box wire. Do not twist wires.
7. Fit wire connector (G from fig. 1) overwires and twist until there is a firm connection.
If wire connector (G) easily comes off, reattach wire connector (G) and check again for a
firm connection (see figure 1).
8. Repeat steps 4 and 5 with the white (group B from fig. 2) fixture wire and outlet box wires.
9. Take fixture ground wire (M from fig. 1) (green or metal wire) and place evenly against
outlet box ground wire. Do not twist wires.
10. Repeat step 5 for ground wires.
11. Tuckwires inside outlet box (B).
