NOTE: Underwriters Laboratories (UL) does not require all fixtures to have ground wires. These
fixtures meet all UL specifications.
1. Turn off power at circuit box to avoid possible electric shock.
2. Remove cap nut (A) from mounting nipple (B). Thread hex nut (N) onto mounting nipple
(B) approximately 1/4 inch and insert lock washer 1 (O1), then and thread mounting nipple
(B) into mounting bar (C) and secure with hex nut (N). Secure mounting bar (C) to outlet
box (D) using outlet box screws (E) (see fig. 1).
3. Identify color coding of fixture wires (see fig. 2).
4. To connect wires, take black fixture wire (group A from fig. 2) and place evenly against
black outlet box wire. Do not twist wires.
5. Fit wire connector (F from fig. 1) over wires and twist until there is a firm connection. If
wire connector (F) easily comes off, reattach and check again for a firm connection.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 with the white (group B from fig. 2) fixture wires and outlet box wires.
7. Partially thread green grounding screw (G) into side hole (H) on mounting bar (C)
(see fig.1).
8. Wrap ground wire from fixture around green grounding screw (G) leaving enough excess
wire to then connect ground wire and outlet box wire with wire connector (F), if applicable.
9. Tighten green grounding screw (G). Do not over tighten.
10. Tuckwires inside outlet box (D).
MOUNTING AND WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
FIXTURE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Warning: This fixture is for indoor use only.
1. Raise canopy (I) to ceiling allowing mounting nipple (B) to protrude through opening in
canopy (I) (see fig. 1).
2. Secure canopy (I) into place with lock washer 2 (O2) (if applicable)and cap nut (A).
3. Place glass shade(s) (J) into holder(s) (K) and secure with thumb screws (L) or retaining
ring(s) (M), whichever is applicable.
NOTE: If retaining ring (M) was preinstalled, remove from holder (K) before installing glass
shade (J).
4. Install lamp(s). Do not exceed recommended wattage.
5. Turn power back on at circuit box.
NOTE: For multi-directional fixtures, adjust lamp direction by rotating socket swivel.
