1.07 Delivery, Handling,Storage
A. Deliver products in manufacturer’soriginal containers,
dry,undamaged,seals and labels intact.
B. Store and protect products inaccordancewith
manufacturer’s recommendations.
1.08 Warranty
A. Provide manufacturer’sstandard ONEYEAR warranty
against defects in workmanship and material.

shall be hot-dipped galvanized.Tracksizeshall be [2"]
[3"].Verticaltrack shallbegraduated to provide wedge
typeweathertight closing withcontinuousangle
mountingfor [steel] [wood]jambs,andshall be fully
adjustabletoseal door atjambs [bracket mountingfor
wood jambs].Horizontaltrack shall be reinforced with
continuous angle of adequatelengthand gauge to
minimizedeflection.
Note: Horizontaltrack appliestostandard lift,highlift,low
headroom and follow-the-roofdesigns only.
C. Hardware:Hinge andRollerAssembly:
1. Hingesand brackets shall be madefrom hot-
dipped,galvanized steel.
2. Trackrollersshall be case-hardenedinner
steel races with 10-ball[2"] [3"] rollers.
3. All factory authorizedattachments shall be
madeatlocations indicated.
D. Counterbalance:
1. Springs shall be torsion type,low-stress,helical
wound,oil-tempered spring wire to provide
minimum[10,000 standard] [25,000] [50,000]
[100,000] cycles of use,on continuoussteel [solid].
2. Springfittingsand drums madeofdie cast,high
strength aluminum.
3. Pre-formed galvanizedsteel aircraft cableshall
providea minimum ofa 5:1 safety factor.
2.03 Operation
A. Operation shall be [manual push-up] [chainhoist]
[motor] [motor with chain hoist].
Note: Manufacturer does not recommend chain hoistsor
jackshaft operators onthe following trackapplications.
• 15" radius standard lift with roofpitch
lessthan 2:12
• Hi-lift less than24"
• Hi-lift between 12" –23" withroofpitch
lessthan 1:12
• Low headroom track
Special chain hoist assemblies(using atrolley rail)
are availablefor theabove track systems.
2.04 Locks
A. Locks shall engage the right-hand verticaltrack
and utilize[an interiorsidelock] [standard size
rim cylinder].
2.05 Weatherstripping
A. Doorsshall be equipped withvinyljoint seals between
sectionsand vinyl“bulb” shaped astragal providedon
thebottom section.Optional top sealand jamb
seal areavailable.
2.06 Glazing
A. Optional.
2.07 Windload
A. Windload –per DASMA102-2003 and as required by
local codes.
PARTIII –EXECUTION
3.01 Installation
A. General:
1. Installdoorsin accordance withmanufacturer’s
instructionsand standards.Installationshall beby an
authorizedWayne-Dalton representative.
2. Verify that existingconditions are ready to receive
sectional overheaddoor work.
3. Beginning of sectionaloverhead door work means
acceptanceofexisting conditions.
B. Install doorcompletewithnecessaryhardware,jamb
and head mold strips,anchors,inserts,hangers,and
equipment supports in accordance withfinal shop
drawings,manufacturer’sinstructions,and as specified
herein.
C. Fit,align andadjust sectional overhead doorassemblies
leveland plumb for smoothoperation.
D. Upon completion offinalinstallation,lubricate,testand
adjust doors to operate easily,freefrom warp,twist or
distortion and fitting forentire perimeter.
Note: Architect mayconsiderproviding aschedule when
more than one sectionaloverhead door or opening
typeisrequired.
