2.01 Manufacturer

by Wayne-DaltonCorp.
2.02 Materials
A. DoorSections:Shallbeof steel/polyurethane/steel
sandwichtypeconstructionwiththermalbreakand
calculatedmaterials“R”-value of10.79,inaccordance
withindustry guidelines.
1. Exterior Skin:Structuralquality,hot-dipped
galvanized embossedsteelwithstucco finish of
baked-onpolyesterprimerandwhite polyester
finishcoats withnon-repeatingrandom stucco
textureand

2. Interior Skin:Structuralquality,hot-dipped,
galvanized steel,factoryfinished with apolyester
primerand white finish coat.Interiorskin shall

gauge hot-dipped galvanizedsteel full-height
end caps.

D-1929and shall achieve aminimum FlashIgnition
temperatureof 734degreesF, and aminimum Self
Ignitiontemperatureof950degreesF.
7. Insulated sections shall be testedandmeetall
requirementsofthe UBC17-5 cornerburn.
B. Track:Trackdesign shall be [standardlift][high lift]
[verticallift] [lowheadroom].Vertical mounting angles
shall be hot-dippedgalvanized.Tracksizeshall be [2"]
[3"].Vertical trackshallbegraduatedtoprovidewedge
typeweathertightclosing with continuousangle
mountingfor [steel] [wood]jambs,and shall be fully
adjustable to seal dooratjambs [bracketmountingfor
wood jambs].Horizontaltrackshallbereinforcedwith
continuous angleofadequatelength and gaugeto
minimizedeflection.
Note: Horizontal track applies to standardlift,high lift,low
headroom and follow-the-roof designs only.
C. Hardware:HingeandRollerAssembly:

dipped,galvanized steel.
2. Trackrollers shallbe case-hardened inner
steel raceswith10-ball [2"][3"]rollers.

2.03 Operation

2.04 Locks

PARTIII– EXECUTION
3.01 Installation
A. General:
1. Installdoorsin accordancewith manufacturer’s
instructionsandstandards.Installationshallbe byan
authorizedWayne-Dalton representative.
2. Verify thatexistingconditionsarereadytoreceive
sectionaloverheaddoorwork.
3. Beginning ofsectionaloverheaddoorworkmeans
acceptance of existingconditions.
B. Install door completewithnecessaryhardware,jamb
and head moldstrips,anchors,inserts,hangers,and
equipmentsupports inaccordancewithfinalshop
drawings,manufacturer’sinstructions,andas
specifiedherein.
C. Fit,alignand adjustsectionaloverhead doorassemblies
leveland plumb forsmoothoperation.
D. Upon completionoffinalinstallation,lubricate,testand
adjustdoors to operate easily,free fromwarp,twistor
distortionandfitting forentire perimeter.
Note: Architect may consider providinga schedulewhen
more than onesectionaloverhead doororopening
typeis required.
