16.2 Troubleshooting Flow Chart (Multiburner)
Refer to control panel
IOS manual for
troubleshooting.
Fan motor may have to
be replaced.
Remove obstruction.

Check thermostat
and replace if
necessary.
Turn up thermostat.
Does the fan turn on?
Remove obstruction.
Repair, replace or
tighten hoses
as necessary.
Is the flue pipe or
the inlet of the
burner obstructed?
Are the hoses to the pressure
switch secure and leak free?
Remove Black and Yellow
leads from the pressure switch;
place a jumper between leads.
Is there a spark?
Replace pressure switch.
Is the igniter gap
set at 3 mm?
Carefully reset gap
to 3 mm.
Replace automatic
control unit.
Unplug burner and check
electrode and ignition wire.
Are they damaged?
Replace electrode and
ignition wire as needed.
After 20 second pre-purge
Is there spark at the igniter?
Check clock program.
Reset as required.
Is there power (230V)
to the control panel?
Is the clock set to on?
Is there power output
to the fan?
Disconnect power to the
motor. Does the
motor turn freely?
Motor may have have tripped
overload switch. Wait
10 - 15 minutes for
automatic reset.
Is the motor connected
properly? Refer to the wiring
diagrams on the motor and
in the installation manual.
Is there an obstruction to
the pump impeller?
