theproductforuse.Thehy·drate

includesalterthatshouldbethoroughly
rinsedtoremovethecarbonlterdust.Don’tworry;thedustisnotharmfulto
yourpet.Forsmallerbowlsyouwillndithelpfultoadjusttheowcontrolto
preventwaterfromsplashingfromthebowl.
Beginbyopeningthehy·drate
™
,usingyourthumbtoliftthesnaplocated
onthebacktoopentheoutershell.Notetheorientationoftheinternalparts
andthelocationoftheowcontrolonthesideofthepump (See Fig. 1a &
1c).Removethelterandrinseitunderrunningwaterforapproximately20
secondsoruntilnocarbondustisshowinginwater.Gentlyshakeexcess
waterofflterandplacebackintotheuppershell(See Fig. 1a).Closethe

backtogether.
Fitthehy·drate
™
tothebottomofyourpet’sbowlandpushdownuntilall
threesuctioncupsaresecuredtobottom.Usethesuctioncuponthepump’s
powercordtoneatlyattachcordtotheoutsideofthebowl.Fillthebowl
withwatersothehy·drate

isfullysubmerged.Thelow-voltagesubmersible
pumpissafetofullygounderwater.Attachthepump’spowercordtothe
ACadapterpowercord,dryyourhandsandplugintoastandard120voltAC

watersplatteringfromthebowl(See Fig. 1a & 1c).Afterbeginningoperation

,simplyallowyourpettoadjustathisorherownpace.Some
petsmaytakeseveraldaysorlongertobeginuse.Afteryourpetisacclimated

,continuetoreplenishyourpet’sdrinkingwaterfrequentlyfor
maximumhydration.
Itisnotrecommendedthatanyappliancebeleftrunningunattendedfora
prolongedperiodoftimeasthewatermaygetconsumedorevaporate,thus
causingthemotortorundryandcanreducelifeofthepump.

behandwashedwithwarmsoapywater.THEPUMPISNOTDISHWASHER
SAFE!Toremovepumpfromuppershellpushinrubberttingtowards
pumptorelease.Threadpumppowercordthroughsuctioncuploopand
pumpcordpass-through(See Fig. 1a & 1b).Thehy·drate
™
pumpshouldbe
disassembledandcleanedeverytwoweeks(See Fig. 2 & 3).Toremove“hard
water”mineralbuild-upsoakdisassembledpumpinregularwhitevinegarfor
severalminutesandrinsethoroughly.Oncethepartsareclean,reassemble
thepumpbyreplacingtheimpeller,stator,owcontrol(See Fig. 4) and the
intakeplate.Threadpumppowercordbackthroughpumpcordpass-through
andsuctioncuploop,andpositionpumpontothepumpconnectorpostin
the upper shell (See Fig. 1a & 1b).Grasptherubberttingandpullthrough
hole in upper shell until it snaps into place sealing the opening (See Fig. 1a &
1b).Thelengthofthepumppowercordmayneedtobeadjustedbypulling
eitherendtopositionpumpontopumpconnectorpost.
Theltershouldbereplacedevery2-4weekstomaintainltered,freshand
cleanwater.Smallfoodparticlesandhairmustbecleanedbetweentheintake
andlterasneededtomaintainstrongcurrentow.
IMPORTANT: Warranty may be voided if pump is not cleaned regularly.
