1-6.Trouble shooting
Before you ask for repair service, check the following points:
Error Display
State of Machine
Cool air or warm air
does not come out.
Cause
Remote Controller
Air flows out but it
does not cool
enough or heat
enough.
It does not run
Troubleshooting
The liquid crystal
display shows that
it is in operation.
The liquid crystal
display shows that
it is in the state of
operation.
Improper temperature adjustment.
The earth leakage breaker is gone.
The fuse in the power supply is gone.
The power supply is turned OFF.
Power failure
Indoor unit operation was started anew during
the heating and defrosting operation.
(5 10 HP only)
The restart-preventing circuit is in operation for
3 minutes.
Can not change
to Heat mode
DIP switch1 is not correct Change the DIP switch off to on.
(Refer to Instruction manual for Installation.)
Windows and doors are open.
There are some obstacles at the air inlet and
outlet of the indoor and outdoor units.
The filter is filled with dust and dirt.
Turn the power supply ON.
Press the [ON/OFF] button after power restoration.
Close.
Remove.
Clean up the filter.
After checking the set temperature and inlet
temperature on the liquid crystal display, refer to
[To change room temperature] on page 107, and
operate the adjustment button.
Put in the earth leakage breaker.
Replace fuse.
Wait for a while.
(Heating operation starts after ending defrosting
operation.)
Wait for a while.
(To protect the compressor, a 3-minute restart-
preventing circuit is built into the indoor unit.
Therefore, there are occasions sometimes when
the compressor does not start running immedi-
ately. There are cases when it does not run for as
long as 3 minutes.)
"ON-OFF "display is
not lit up
No display appears
even when the [ON/
OFF] button is
pressed.
Indicate Cause Troubleshooting
E01 Room temperature sensor open. Automatically reset to restoration error.
E02 Room temperature sensor short. Automatically reset to restoration error.
E03 Error input from Indoor unit or Push the On-Off switch.(OFF to ON)
Outdoor unit.
Can not change to
Heat mode when
press the "MODE" key.
