change the dust bag and clean or replace the lters.
o Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from the socket. Instead, hold
the plug.
o Keep hold of the plug when rewinding the cord, so that it does not strike the
appliance.
• Do not use if the exhaust lter (HEPA lter) motor lter and dust bag are not
tted, as this could damage the appliance.
• Only use accessories manufactured or recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not use it on wet surfaces.
• Take particular care when vacuuming stairs, due to the risk of falling.
• Do not use to vacuum up matches, hot ashes, cigarette butts, hard or sharp

PREPARING THE APPLIANCE
IMPORTANT! Check exhaust lter (f) is correctly tted before use. Open dust
bag compartment (a) to check motor lter and dust bag are correctly tted (see
Replacing lter and dust bag below).
• The remote control in the handle
(18) uses 1 x type 3LR50 (12 V)
battery (included).
o Remove battery cover (19) and
insert battery.
o Check plus and minus poles are
aligned correctly to avoid
damage to the appliance.
• Fit the hose (22) by inserting it into
the hose connector (3) so that the
dowels (17) click into place.
• Fit telescopic tube (11) at opposite
end of hose. Tube length can be
adjusted by pressing on the lock
button (9).
• Fit nozzle required (13, 14, 15 or 16)
to telescopic tube.
USE
• Pull the cord (7) out of the appliance. The cord may not be pulled out further
than the red mark. Plug in and switch on the power.
• Press the on/off button to start and stop the appliance.
• Use the "+" and "-" buttons (21) on the handle to regulate suction power during
use. The current setting can be seen on the indicator panel (6):
• You can start and stop cleaning during use with the start/stop button (20) on the
handle. The suction power indicator on the handle will ash when the appliance
is blocked.
• The oor nozzle (13) bristles have two settings which can be selected using the
brush function buttons (12) on top of the nozzle.
o When cleaning hard surfaces (stone- or wooden ooring, etc.), the nozzle
brushes should be extended.
o When cleaning carpets and rugs, the brushes should be retracted into the
nozzle.
• The bag change indicator will normally be dark. If it lights when the vacuum
cleaner is in use, or if the suction strength is signicantly reduced, the dust bag
must be changed (refer to Replacing lters and dust bag below).
• IMPORTANT! If the suction strength of the appliance is reduced, the nozzle or
hose may be blocked, lters may be blocked or dirty and the dust bag may be
full. Never use the appliance if this is the case, as this will damage the motor
irreparably. Remove the cause of the blockage, clean the lters or replace dust
bag.
Tips for vacuum cleaning
• Store nozzles in the compartment under the lid. Open lid using button (4).
• Each nozzle has a special purpose. Try each of them out in different situations.
E.g. the furniture nozzle (15) or the small brush nozzle. The small crevice- and
brush nozzles (14) can be used with and without brushes, as they can be quickly
extended or withdrawn.
• You can park the oor nozzle in one of the parking brackets (on the back and
underside of the appliance) when taking a break from vacuuming.
• You can lift and carry the appliance using the carrying handle (1). Never pull or
lift the appliance by the cord.
REPLACING FILTERS AND DUST BAG
On account of the vacuum cleaner's powerful suction, we recommend that
you use cloth/bre vacuum bags.
IMPORTANT! If the appliance loses suction power during use, the dust bag may be
full. The lters may also need cleaning or replacing. We recommend that you clean
the lters at least twice a year or as required. We recommend replacing the lters
after 4 to 6 months’ use, when they are soiled, or if the appliance’s suction strength
is reduced. Never use the appliance if the bag is
full or with no exhaust- or motor lter.
• Motor lter, exhaust lter and dust bag are in
the appliance.
• Open the lid by pulling the opening handle (2)
upwards and outwards.
Replacing the Motor Filter
The motor lter protects the motor against
dust and dirt. The appliance must not be used
if the motor lter is not in place.
• Pull motor lter holder (c) out using the
handle.
• Clean or replace the lter pad (d) if necessary
(see section on Cleaning below).
• Replace the lter pad in the motor lter holder
so that the lugs hold it in place.
• Lift motor lter holder up and press into place until it clicks.
