_i_ FRONT INSTALLATION
Install the front grille onto the cabinet as follows:
• Hook upper tabs of front grille into slots on the
cabinet top.(FIG. 17)
• Push front grille's tips toward the cabinet in order
to snap side tabs into the cabinet. (FIG. 17)
• Open the filter door.(FIG. 18)
• Install the screw (ITEM E) through the front
grille,(FIG. 18)
• Close filter door.(FIG.19)

STORM WINDOW FRAME
oif stormwindow presents interference,fasten a 2"
wide wood strip tothe innerwindow sill across the full
width ofthe sill.The wood strip should bethick
enough to raise the height ofthe window sill so that
the unitcan be installed withoutinterferencefrom the
the storm windowframe. See FIG. 20.
Top of wood strip should be approximately 3/4"
higher than the storm windowframe to help
condensation to drain properly to the outside.
• Install a second wood strip (approximately 6" tong by
11t2"wide and same thickness as first strip) in the
center of the outer sill flush against the back of the
inner sill. Screw the L brackets into this strip.
This will raise the L bracket as shown in FIG. 20.

REMOVAL FROM WINDOW
• Turnoffand unplug theair conditioner.
• Removethe front gdile. See HOW TO REMOVE THE
FRONT GRILLE. Refer topage 12.
• Unscrew the side screws thatyou installedin Step12.
• Slide theair conditioneroutof thecabinet.
BE CAREFUL NOT TO DROP IT, Hold ontoit firmly the
wholeway sliding itout. Onceremoved,set itsafety out
of theway,
• Removethe L bracketfrom windowframe and the sash
seal from betweenthewindows.
•Unscrew the sidecurtainsfrom the windowframe. Fold
themback to the sides of the cabinet.
•Removescrewsattachingcabinetto innersill.Be careful
not to letcabinetfall oncescrewsare removed.
• Removecabinetfrom windowopening.
• Placeairconditionerintocabinet.Reinstallsidescrews
and FrontGrille.
• Placeunitandall assemblyhardware inair conditioner
shippingcarton,andstoreinclean,dry place.
° Air conditioners covered in this manual pose an
excessive weight hazard. Two or more people
are needed to move and install the unit.
To prevent injury or strain, useproper lifting and
carrying techniques whenmoving unit.
• When handling the air conditioner, be careful to
avoid cuts from sharp metal fins on front and
rear coils.
• Make sureair conditioner does not fall during
removal.
