Immediatelycallyourgassupplierfroma neighbor's
phone.Followthegasauppller'sinstructions.
If youcannotreachyourgassupplier,callthefire
department.

knob.Neverusetools.Iftheknobwillnotpushinor
turnbyhand,don'ttryto repairit,celta qualifiedser-
vice technician.Forceor attemptedrepairmayresult
inafireorexplosion.
D.Donotusethisappliancoif anyperthasbeenunder
water.Immediatelycalla qualifiedservicetechnician
toinspecttheapplianceandtoreplaceanypertof the
controlsystemandany gascontrolwhichhasbeen
underwater.

1.STOP!Readthesafetyinformationaboveonthiskd3et.
2.Removeouterdoor.
3. Setthethermostatto lowestsettingbyturningthe
watertemperaturedialclockwise,([ "_)toits lowest
temperaturesetting(witharrowondial)asshown.DO
NOTFORCE.
4.'rumgascontrolknobelockwi"Jse _'_tl to"OFF"posi-
tion.Knobcannotbe turnedfrom"PILOT"to "OFF"
unlessknobIsdepressedslightly.DO NOT FORCE.

5. Waitfive(5) minutesto clearoutanygas.If youthen
smellgas,STOP!Follow"B" inthesafetyinformation
aboveon thislabel,If youdon'tsmellgas,goto the
nextstep.
6. Remove(or open)innerdoorlocatedbelowthe gas
controlunit.
7. Findpilot-followmetaltubefromgascontrol.Thepilot
islocatedinfrontoftheburner.

8.Ifyou don'tsmeltgas,turnknobongascontrolcounter

9. Pushin controlknoball the wayand holddown.
Immediatelylight thepilotwithamatch.Contfnueto
holdcontrolknobin foraboutone(1) minuteafter
thepilotIs lit.Releaseknobandit willpopbackup.
Pilotshouldremainlit.If If goesout,repeatsteps3
through8.
lt'imob doesnotpopupwhenreleased,stopand
immediatelycallyourservicetechnicianorgas
supplier.
If the pilot will notstay lit afterseveraltries,
depressandturnthegascontrolknobclookwlse
_ to"OFF"andcallyourservicetechnician

10.Replace(or close)Innerdoor.Replaceouterdourif
doordoesnotcovergascontrolon/offknob or tem-
peratureadjustmentknob.(Figure9,page17)

do not use gas control knob to regulate gas
