Remove your heater from its carton,
unwind the cord to its full length.
Place the heater on a level surface
in a stable position. Make certain BOTH
element switches on rear of heater are in
the OFF position
Plug the power cord in a 240Volt outlet,
switch outlet on and then switch the
heater to the desired setting.
Temperature Setting
The two elements are controlled by two
switches at the back of heater
independently.
Switching ON either one of the elements
provides a medium warm output.
Switching ON both elements provides
high heat.
Switch OFF both elements to turn
off the heater.
Care and Maintenance
Always turn off and switch off at power
outlet then unplug the heater before
cleaning.
Use only a clean, dry cloth to clean the
external surfaces of the heater only.
Do not attempt to remove the front grill
of the heater.
Use a vacuum cleaner regularly to remove
dust and fluff from the element and grill.
If the unit has accumulated dust around
the elements and grill that cannot be
removed with the use of a vacuum
cleaner, have a qualified service agent clean
the unit. DO NOT operate the heater in
this condition.
Do not attempt to open the case of the
heater at anytime, there are no customer
serviceable parts inside.
When not in use, pack the heater in its
original box for best protection and store
in a cool, clean and dry location.
Important Instructions
When using electrical appliances, basic
precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
Keep combustible materials such as drapes
and other furnishings away from heater.
The heater must NOT be located
immediately below a socket outlet.
Extreme caution is necessary when this
heater is used by or near children or
invalids.
Important – this heater is intended for
floor use only. Do not mount on ceiling or
walls.
Do not leave heater unattended. Always
switch off at power outlet then unplug
heater when not in use.
Do not operate any heater with a
damaged cord or plug, or if heater has
been dropped or damaged in any manner.
Return heater to your nearest service
centre for examination, electrical or
mechanical adjustment or repair.
Do not use outdoors.
This heater is not intended for use in wet
or moist locations such as bathrooms or
laundry areas. Do not immerse or allow
liquids to be spilt on heater.
Place unit well clear of heat sensitive
surfaces and where necessary place on a
suitable stable inflammable surface.
Do not run the cord under carpeting or
cover the cord with rugs, runners or the
like.Arrange cord away from traffic areas
and where it will not be tripped over.
To prevent a possible fire, allow ample
space around the heater (at least 1.7m at
front and 0.5m at the rear and sides) and
do not block air inlets or outlets in any
manner. Check the openings from time to
time for accumulated dust. Ensure long
shag carpet does not obstruct air flow
under unit.
To disconnect heater switch OFF both
elements, then switch off at the power
outlet prior to then removing the plug
from its outlet.
Do not insert or allow foreign objects to
pass through the element guard as this
may cause an electric shock, fire or
damage the heater.
Do not touch hot metal surfaces.
Do not allow power cord to contact hot
metal surfaces.
Switch off then Unplug and allow heater
to cool down before cleaning or storing.
Do not use the heater with a
programmer, timer or any other device
that switches the heater on automatically,
since a fire risk exists if the heater is
covered or positioned incorrectly.
Use this heater only as described in this
instruction manual.Any other use not
recommended by the manufacturer may
cause fire electric shock or injury
and voids all warranties.
Always move the heater with the handle
provided at the back.
The installation of a residual current
device (safety switch) is recommended to
provide additional safety protection when
using electrical appliances. It is advisable
that a safety switch with a rated residual
operating current not exceeding 30mA be
installed in the electrical circuit supplying
the appliance.
