Operating Your Air Purifi er
On/Speed Control: Rotate the Speed Control knob to set the desired speed. A setting
of zero (0) indicates that the unit is off, one (1) is low speed, two (2) is medium speed,
and three (3) is high speed. The fan speed can be adjusted at any time.
Filter Change Calendar: The fi lter counter is
designed to optimize the performance of the
QuietFlo
®
air Purifi er by reminding you when
to change the HEPA Filter and pre-fi lter.
HEPA Filter Calendar: The HEPA Filter indicator
is located at the top of the calendar ring. To set the
HEPA Filter counter, rotate the calendar ring to
align the month that you installed the fi lter with
the indicator. Since the fi lter is designed for one
year use, the indicator will serve as a reminder to
change the fi lter annually.
Pre-fi lter Calendar: The inner knob of the fi lter
counter is the pre-fi lter counter. To use, align the
knob with the month that you installed pre-fi lter.
The replace symbol on the inner knob points to the
month in which you should install a new pre-fi lter.
The pre-fi lter is designed for three months of usage.
Cleaning And Filter Replacement
1. Clean the outside of the unit with a soft damp cloth. The front grill can be
removed and cleaned in soapy water. Remove the pre-fi lter before cleaning the
front grill.
2. At least every 90 days, replace the carbon pre-fi lter. This is necessary to main-
tain proper odor removing and overall fi ltration performance. If necessary, it can
be changed more often. Set the pre-fi lter counter as described above in Operating
Your Air Purifi er. Be sure to remove any plastic wrapping that may be on the
new fi lter before you place it into the Air Purifi er.
3. While replacing the pre-fi lter, you should view the condition of the QuietFlo
®
HEPA Filter. Compare the fi lter to the color coded chart that is on the inside of
the housing. If the fi lter matches the dark color on the chart, you should remove
it and replace it with a new fi lter. Set the HEPA Filter counter as described above
in Operating Your Air Purifi er. Depending on use and environment, the HEPA
Filter should last one year.
4. If you notice a decrease in air output or an increase in noise, the HEPA Filter may
be clogged. Replace it with a new QuietFlo
®
HEPA Filter.
