Honeywell HHT-080 Air Cleaner User Manual

ELECTRONIC FILTER CLEAN REMINDER
This model air purifier has an electronic filter check to remind you when to check and clean the HEPA-
Type filters based on the air cleaner’s hours of use.
When the HEPA-Type filters need to be cleaned, the light
will remain on until it is RESET. You may unplug the air
cleaner without interrupting the filter check.
A red LED light will illuminate when it is time to clean the
filter.
You should periodically check the filter. Depending on
operating conditions, the filters should be cleaned every 6
months to a year.
To RESET the Electronic Filter Check:
When the filter monitor light remains on, it is time to check/clean the HEPA-Type filters and reset the filter
monitor, if needed. With the unit powered on, insert the tip of a ball-point pen or paperclip next to the LED
filter check light and hold for approximately 5 seconds until the light turns off (Fig 5a & 5b). Depending
upon your individual usage (environment and hours used), you may need to check and clean the filters
more or less frequently. If the HEPA-Type filters are cleaned before the filter monitor light turns on, the
filter monitor should be reset at the same time.
These cleaning intervals are intended as guidelines only. Performance of any filter media is dependent
upon the concentration of contaminates going through the system. High concentrations of contaminates
such as dust, pet dander and smoking will reduce the useful performance of the filter.
NOTE: The HEPA-Type filters are not washable.

MAINTAINING YOUR STAGE 1 WASHABLE PARTICLE PRE-FILTERCLEANING THE HEPA-TYPE FILTERS
The Honeywell models HHT-080 Series and HHT-100 Series are equipped with
permanent HEPA-Type filters which never need replacement with normal use.
To Clean Your HEPA-Type Filter:
DO NOT USE WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS TO CLEAN THE HEPA-TYPE FILTER.
To vacuum-clean the filter, hold the filter and run a vacuum cleaner with a nozzle
or brush attachment along the filter to pick-up the dirt and particles (Fig. 7).
Repeat along the entire surface of the HEPA-Type filter.
Note the filter may still be discolored even after cleaning it. This is acceptable
and will not affect performance.
After vacuuming the filter, place it back into the air purifier housing and snap filter grille into place.
If you have difficulty cleaning the filter, please visit us at www.kaz.com or call us at 1-800-332-1110.
