DIODE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
A small electrical component called a “diode” must be installed on the front door
push button for this chime to play the entire selected tune.

Note:
• A push button with a factory installed diode (indicated by a decal on the back of the push button) is
included with some models. This push button may be used to replace your existing front door push
button. Additional diodes will not be needed and should not be used.
• If a diode is not already installed on the push button being used, connect the supplied diode to the
push button screw terminals as shown in Figure 6.
If, with the diode in place, the chime does not play the entire selected tune, see Trouble-
shooting, page 9.
