How To Maintain The Carpet Shampooer/
Extractor
The instructions in this booklet serve as a guide to routine maintenance. Follow these suggestions to avoid
unnecessary service calls.
Before storing the carpet shampooer/extractor, on a linoleum or vinyl surface put the unit in the floor mode
and use clean water (without solution) to flush out all remaining particles in the carpet shampooer/extractor
unit.
Place clean water in the clean water solution tank.
Operate the unit, by pulling up on the Dispensing Trigger located in the carpet shampooer/
extractor’s handle.
Activate the trigger for 4 strokes (2 forward and 2 backward).
Then, release the trigger while operating the unit for another 4 strokes or until the flooring is dry.
For models featuring the Attachment Hose, on a linoleum or vinyl surface, activate the trigger on the attachment
handle to run clear water through the nozzle using 4 backward strokes. Then release trigger and proceed with
any additional strokes to remove moisture. This will flush out all the remaining particles.
