It is important that lamps be replaced when the ultraviolet output falls below minimum requirements for protection.
Even though a lamp will appear to be operating effectively because it still maintains the visible blue glow, the
ultraviolet output will be significantly reduced after 9000 hours of use. To maintain maximum benefits,
lamps should be replaced annually.
