Once the unit is installed and operating, the red L.E.D. will flash once every 30-seconds.
LOW-BATTERY WARNING:
When the battery becomes weak, the red L.E.D. will flash, and sound a “beep” once every 30-seconds. The battery
needs to be replaced immediately.
FAULT CONDITION:
Periodically, the unit measurement circuit is self-tested. If an error is detected, the L.E.D. will flash and beeper will
sound twice every 30-seconds. This indicates a circuit malfunction, and the unit should be service immediately.
APPLIANCE SHUT DOWN:
If the unit measures an unsafe level of CO, it will shut down the appliance.
IF COSS IS ACTIVATED:
1. Get fresh air into the premises immediately.
2. Call a qualified technician to inspect the appliance and venting systems and adjust, repair or replace as necessary.
NOTE: The appliance cannot be restarted until CO dissipates and the danger is eliminated.
REPLACING THE BATTERY:
1. Remove the plastic cover of the CO Safety Shutoff from the base.
2. Remove the battery and replace it with the new one. (Figure 2)
3. Re-attach cover.
4. Test CO Safety Shutoff for proper operation as described above by pushing test button. Repeat weekly.
Use on the following 9-volt alkaline batteries for replacement:
Eveready 522; Duracell MN 1604; Gold Peak 1604A
TO CLEAN:
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust build-up and any cobwebs from the slots in the plastic cover and base. DO NOT
WASH!
OPERATING TEMPERATURE RANGE:
32° F to 125° F

If, after reviewing this manual, you feel that your CO detector is defective in any way, do not tamper with the unit.
Contact the manufacturer, Quantum Group Inc., to receive a return material authorization number (RMA). Once the
RMA number is given, you should return the product with the RMA number on the outside of the packaging to:
