Remove the hook by grasping its center post
and pulling it out.

Use a brush to remove any accumulated lint
and thread from the retaining ring, hook,
driver and race body.

Use a cloth dampened with machine oil to
wipe the shuttle race in order to remove any
lint.

Clean the lint from the shuttle hook in the
same manner as described in step

Reassemble the hook and the retaining ring,
and push the latch levers back into position.

Attach the bobbin case, the presser foot and
the needle before using the machine.
Cleaning the feed dogs

Turn off the machine and unplug it.

Raise the needle and the presser foot, and
then remove the presser foot and the needle.

Remove the flat bed attachment and open the
shuttle cover at the front of the free arm.

Remove the needle plate by using a coin or
oval screwdriver to remove the screws.

Use a brush to clean the lint from the upper
part of the feed dogs and shuttle race body.

Attach the needle plate by using a coin or oval
screwdriver.
● Make sure you unplug the machine before
you clean it. Otherwise, you may get an
electric shock or be injured.
