REPLACING HEPA AND/OR CARBON FILTERS

Replace the base,making sure the
arrow onthe gold sticker lines up
with unit's rearseam.

Replace the four screws.
Step 12
Turn the unit back ontoits
wheels.It is now ready for use.

Put backthe felt pad
removed in STEP 4.

Make sure the unit is set to
"off" and the unit is unplugged.
Place the unitupside down,
so that the wheels face up.
Using a #2Philips screwdriver,
remove thefour screws that
hold the base onto the unit.
Grasp the wheels.Remove
the base bypulling gently
on the wheels

Reach inside the unit,and
removefelt pad.

First,remove the carbonfilter.
(pull up gently by placing thumbs
on the inner sideof the filter)
Then,remove the HEPA filter
with the same technique.
Now,place the new HEPA
filter into theunit.

Then,place the new
carbon filter into the unit.

Make sure theunit issetto "Off,"
andunplug it. Laythe unitupside
down,sothat thewheels face up.
Step 2
Usinga #2Philipsscrewdriver,
removethe four screwsthathold
thebase ontothe unit.
Step 7
Replacethe base,making surethe
arrowon thegoldsticker linesup
withunit's rearseam.
Step 8
Replacethe fourscrews.
Step 9
Turn theunit backonto itswheels.
It isnow readyforuse.
Step 3
Graspthe wheels.Remove thebase
bypulling gentlyonthe wheels.
Step 5
Gently insertthe carbonfilter
(eithera ModelD,DSor DX
Carbon)into theunit,eitherend
Step 4
Reachinside theunit,and remove
only1 ofthe 2felt pads.
Step 6
Putback thefeltpad removedin
STEP4.

The model you have selected is shipped in 2 separate boxes to protect certain
components. The filter comes in one box, and the outer shell of the unit,
containing the motor and the fan, comes in another. Filters must be installed
before turning the unit on in order for it to work. AllerAir technicians
recommend removing the base,installing the filter,andreplacingthe base
accordingtothe f ollowingsteps:
