Question About Zenith Dehumidifier ZD309Y9

I've had this dehumidifier for about 2 years and it's getting really hot. The motor is hot to the touch. It is on all day, but doesn't kick on very often. Why is the motor getting so hot. It still collects water and is a little louder than when I bought it. Please help. I'm afraid it's going to catch on fire while I'm not home.
