funance runs, flames turns on but turn off after several minutes, but blower continues to run. four flashing lights indicating open limit. replace open limit switch still same problem

0 I had a similar problem and imagine it's the same solution. There is a sensor that is attached to the back of your hardware section (where the gas jets and flame sensor etc. are) that monitors the heat in the motor/ducting area. I can't remember the name of the sensor but it's screwed in to the back of that section. If it senses that it is to hot in the motor/ducting area it will make the furnace blower operate constantly. I did something that I'm not probably supposed to do...but I took the wires going to and from the sensor and jumpered the sensor out. I did this after replacing the sensor with a new one and no change. What ended up causing this condition was having an air conditioner put in and a filter type of material on the inside of the A coil. I had to get into the A coil and vacuum all that crap off of there and made sure I had a good quality filter in place for the furnace. Anyway...either that sensor or dirt buildup is most likely causing your problem. Change the filter for your furnace and/or make sure to clean out the motor area behind the electronics/hardware section
