furnace burns short time then off. already replaced fame sensor. i have 4 flashes of diagnois light.

0 I take that back...I answered the wrong comment. Your problem sounds like you may have put the wrong flame sensor in. Are you sure you got the right OEM part? If it's not the flame sensor then I can only take a stab that there must be something wrong with the flame...like there's not enough pressure coming out of the gas jets. I wonder if you could have a bad gas valve or something that is not opening all the way. Either way you either have the wrong flame sensor or, more unlikely, not a strong enough flame. I guess, though I would highly, highly ,doubt this...you could have a bad control board. One last thing...make sure that your connection (however your flame sensor is set up) to your flame sensor is clean. Connections can oxidize over time and just like with a car battery...corrosion causes resistance which can play all sorts of havoc on a system. Either change the connector if it's a female or clean the connector if it's a male.
