the pilot lights up, the burners fire for about 10 seconds 7 shut off, but the blower keeps going. i shut the power off, maybe 5-6 times 7 it finally heats the house. doing this every day. What's wrong???

5 Interesting...I just commented on this with another post above. There is a sensor that is screwed into the back of your hardware/electronics area (gas jets, flame sensor etc.). The sensing part of it senses the temp of the blower/ducting area. If the sensor is bad or that area is to hot it will cause exactly what your stating. The cause in my particular case was from someone who installed central air into my home. The "A" coil that he installed had filter material on the inside of the coil. Not only did it restrict the air that was flowing through my vents but was causing the area monitored by that sensor to get to hot. I had to get into the A coil and vacuum all of that material off of the inside of that coil. In addition make sure you have a really decent filter and change it regularly (preferrably every month but at least every two months) on your furnace to keep the blower section clean and air flow unrestricted. I could never recommend this as I certainly would not want to be liable for anyones actions...but I jumped out the sensor temporarily to make the heater work properly until I could locate and fix the problem.
