Question About White Rodgers Thermostat IF78
The thermostat is set at 71 but stays on that temp...

The thermostat is set at 71 but stays on that temp. The furnace comes on at 71 degrees, runs a short while then shuts off when the thermostat still reads 71. Why is the temp not changing and should the thermostat not be reflecting decreasing heat before the furnace comes on?
