I replaced a mercury type thermostat with a 1F80-0471 but it doesn't work correctly. The display flashes and clicks when it calls for heat. The room has an electric baseboard heater with a 24 volt transformer to the thermostat. I connected the black wire (hot) to the RH terminal, left the jumper in place, connected the white wire (neutral) to C and jumpered C toW. What have I done wrong?
