I have lived in an apartment for six years. The electric and gas has always been very reasonable except for last year. My electric bill has always run around $120. during the summer months but last summer it spiked $200. plus and it should has been down because I spent three weeks in the hospital. My heating was up as well. I have a new neighbor and now it has me very superstitious and wondering. I am wondering if they could have tapped into my thermostat? How can I check and is there a way? (Our attic is wide open and accessible to all us who live in the building which are nine of us.) My Landlord refuses to believe anyone would do something like this. Please help me.
