When I tried to increase the temp in our house tod...

When I tried to increase the temp in our house today, I got no response so I went into the programming and reset the temp for that time of day. Still I got know response. I shut the thermostat off and tried to turn it back on, now it kicks on for about 3 minutes and shuts off and it keeps doing this. Is this normal.
