5 This model water heater has various functions Energy Smart, Standard, Vacation Mode, Grid Enabled, Control Panel Lock. Buy pressing the Standard Mode this will allow you to control you temperature settings. After going into the standard mode you will need to press the up or down button to set you desired temperature. You can also choose Fahrenheit or Celsius display and you can also lock your LCD Display Panel. Energy Smart monitors usage Temperature set points can be changed. Vacation Mode is recommended for long periods of time not using your water heater. Control Panel Lock you must hold this button down for at lease three seconds to lock or unlock the panel. There is a lot more functions involved that it would be in your best interest to contact Whirl Pool to send you the operating Manuel or visit their website .
