Question About Whirlpool Dehumidifier AD0502XA

This item is so old that I can't find an online owners manual. A question I have is: The lower front of the catch basin has a place where it appears a hose could fit for drainage. But, there is no hole there for water to run out of. Do I need to drill a hole out in the plastic? Thanks for your help!
