my air conditioner will turn off, click, turn off, click back on for a couple seconds, turn off...same cycle

0 hello,I`ve got the older whirlpool with ...mode. &...fanspeed ...timer mine was doing the same ,go to controls deselect powersaver go to high or auto then select fanspeed say low /high mine has NOT CUT OFF SINCE ..goodluck
