Compressor cycling in cold weather...

The unit will cool even during fairly cold weather. But in cold weather the unit's compressor will cycle frequently, eventually wearing out the compressor. Unlike other window ACs, When this particular fails to cool, is usually due to a slow refrigerant leak, not the motor run capacitor.
