5 Yes the switch must be replaced. But if you want you can turn the power supply off to the unit, remove the back cover to expose the switches and find the switch for that burner and remove the wires from the switch marked L1 & L2. Be sure to tape these wires well with electrical tape. DO NOT tape together. This will stop the burner from working and you may use the other burners til you replace the switch.
