Our ss2795 smoke alarm went off an hour ago... it ...

Our ss2795 smoke alarm went off an hour ago... it was a piercing alarm but a little different than the test alarm sounds... it stopped when we opened the door.... We smelled no smoke... we are wondering if it also detects carbon monoxide? should we be worried?
